Fantastic bigbore cylinder with a whopping 177cc for a simple but solid and very powerful to drive tuning of the old 2-channel engines.

The Pinasco replaces 1:1 the series cylinder, which often still has a nose piston.
Very moderate head angles, a compression ratio suitable for everyday use combined with long life and high early torque. This characterizes the Pinasco cast iron cylinder for the VBA, VNB, VBB, Sprint as well as GL engines. It fits perfectly with the characteristics of the old engines and, despite significantly more power, still conveys the original ‘Vespa driving feel’.

For a long cylinder life the following things should be considered:
Both the carburetor jetting and the ignition setting must be adjusted. Depending on the year of manufacture of the basic engine, it has up to 28° pre-ignition. This can be reduced by simply turning the ignition base plate to 20°v.Ot. can be reduced. Also the carburetor is often quite crude due to the still used nose piston technology. A conversion to a SI20/20D or SI24/24E carburetor of the PX models is to be considered here as absolutely meaningful.
