Description
OEM main shaft, corresponds to the gearbox type Vespa PK (externally recognizable by the nut with M16 thread and safety cage). However, the PK gearbox type was already used in vehicles from 1976 onwards (i.e. before the PK models, e.g. V50/PV125/ET3)*. The gear wheels for this main shaft type can be identified by the marking ’42’, which is cast in relief on the gear wheels.
With the appropriate gear wheels, this main shaft can also be used in V50, PV125, ET3 engines. If your engine was previously fitted with a main shaft with M14 castellated nut, the washer must be adapted to the brake drum (increase the inner diameter) and the nut and locking cage of the PK models must be used. Alternatively, the brake drum including brake anchor plate of the PK models can be used.
*( V50 (V5A1T from no. 69444), V50 Special (V5B3T from no. 94315), V50 Elestart (V5B4T from No. 1514), PV125(VMA2T from No. 150203), ET3 (VMB1T from No. 8161))
